Hi, I'm Jana. I started Kongoroo in November, 2010 after watching my five-year-old daughter play on the laptop. She got frustrated that to
find new content (fun games, videos, etc.), I had to find it for her. We adults have Google. We have the power to explore the web. On her own, she can't.
My daughter is not alone -- every child wants the power to explore and find things on their own. Kongoroo gives children exactly that, so that even the smallest child has the power to explore and get the
best of web. How do we help them to do it? Content divided into categories tailored specifically to the child's interest, age and gender; and navigatable by big, touch-screen friendly icons.
But I think the most exciting thing is that we combine our efforts to do it. You and me, parents and teachers from around the world, are who contribute the amazing sites we find: sites for creating music, sites for learning a foreign language, for help with math or even just to watch some TV show or play a game.
